WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The PAI Lab works with students who want to build things and write about them. Prior AI background is helpful but not required — curiosity and follow-through matter more.
Hardware / Embedded
Comfortable with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, or eager to learn. You'll build the physical side.
ML / Computer Vision
Image models, edge inference, YOLO variants. You'll bring intelligence to the hardware.
Strong Writer
Can draft clearly and iterate fast. Invaluable at paper time.
Generalist Engineer
Clean code, good documentation, happy to switch tasks. The team glue.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work on a focused Physical AI project (6–8 week sprints)
- Write and publish — we target conference papers together
- Weekly check-ins and structured feedback on your work
- Gain experience with NVIDIA Jetson, ROS 2, and edge AI tooling
- Build a public portfolio of code, datasets, and papers on GitHub
